Just as Vydia is committed to empowering our creators, we also stand behind The TJ Martell Foundation’s mission to find a cure for cancer. According to the American Cancer Society, in 2017, there will be an estimated 1,688,780 new cancer cases diagnosed and 600,920 cancer deaths in the US alone. This is a terrifying statistic but the good news that the death rate in the US is down 25%, which translates to over 2.1 million people saved thanks to progressive research and treatment. TJ Martell is one of the leading organizations backing this cause.
What is the T.J. Martell Foundation?
The T.J. Martell Foundation is the music industry’s leading medical research foundation focused on finding treatments and cures for cancer, leukemia, and HIV/AIDS, and supports research projects that otherwise would not be funded. Built on a promise from the late and great Tony Martell made to his son, the Foundation has worked passionately to raise more than $280 million for cancer research which has been leveraged into several billion dollars in additional funding. The organization’s mantra, “Music’s Promise for a Cure”, represents the deep roots within the music industry, drawing hundreds of industry volunteers and gaining the support of some of the biggest names in the music including Ariana Grande, Brad Paisley, Train, and Alice Cooper (just to name a few).
T.J. Martell Next Generation Committee is hosting the 4th Annual Rock n’ Bowl, and as sponsors and volunteer board members, Team Vydia is working to make it the most successful to date! Over the past three years alone, this signature event has accumulated over 250 supporters and has raised over $80,000, but we don’t want to stop here.
