Calling all music video creators: your Vevo experience on the Vydia platform just got better! We greatly value your patience and feedback referencing the growing queue for Vevo’s manual channel changes, but we are happy to announce that the wait is over. Vevo has agreed to change the channel management process and let the Vydia team take care of our users’ updates directly. Here’s what you need to know:

Accelerated Vevo Channel Modifications

Vydia’s back-end access to Vevo’s content management system means all your updates will be made in-house, yielding much faster turn around times. These are the Vevo items the Vydia team can assist with:

  • Channel icon
  • Channel banner
  • Channel keywords
    Channel description (about tab)
  • Featured channel trailer
  • Google Analytics tracking ID
  • Channel links (overlaid on the banner)
  • Featured channels

Tips For Creating and Editing Vevo Channel Artwork

If you are currently waiting for a Vevo channel update, our team is already working to fulfill your request as quickly possible. Vevo channels without custom artwork submissions will default to our standard ‘Powered by Vydia’ Vevo banner that has been properly formatted for a professional appearance. If you would like to submit custom artwork,  please make sure you follow YouTube’s image tips and guidelines to ensure your content is the correct size and format:

  • The best way to get images for your Vevo channel art is to use saved images that can be uploaded from your computer/mobile device or pulled directly from the YouTube Photo Library.
  • To ensure your artwork looks the best across all devices, YouTube recommends uploading images that are 2560 x 1440 pixels.
    • Minimum dimension for upload: 2048 x 1152 px.
    • Minimum safe area for text and logos: 1546 x 423 px. Larger images may get cropped on certain views or devices.
    • Maximum width: 2560 x 423 px. This means that the ‘safe area’ is always visible regardless of screen size. The areas to each side of the channel art are visible or cropped depending on browser size.
    • File size: 4MB or smaller
  • Any image can be resized using your computer’s image editor or an online image resizer.

Vevo Channel Wait Times

Our current queue for Vevo Channel updates is projected to be cleared in approximately 4-6 weeks. After that, wait times will be reduced to 1-3 business days. The procedure for channel updates will remain the same – just submit a support ticket to our Customer Service team and we will take care of the rest!
