Vydia Founder and CEO, Roy LaManna named to NJBIZ 40 Under 40

Vydia Founder and CEO, Roy LaManna, has been named a winner in the 2016 NJBIZ Forty Under 40 awards program. The award program, produced by NJBIZ, New Jersey’s premier business news publication, is sponsored by Stark & Stark, Brother International Corporation, United Healthcare, Wells Fargo, and Thomas Edison State University

Roy LaManna’s most recent venture, Vydia, is a music video technology platform that allows artists to distribute to network partners like MTV, Fuse, BET Networks, Nickelodeon, etc and publish their videos platforms like Vevo, YouTube, Daily Motion, and Facebook.. The Vydia team is composed of industry experts that help artists identify the best opportunities to promote and monetize their videos, while diligently managing their digital rights. Artists who have gone through the platform include acts like Fetty Wap, Post Malone, Jimmy Buffett, and Def Leppard.

Aside from his leadership in the music industry, LaManna is committed to being an active contributor to cultivate NJ’s Tech Startup community and mentoring the next generation of NJ entrepreneurs. Vydia partners with the The Computer Science Academy at Freehold Regional High School and the Communications High School in Wall, NJ,  allowing students to come to the office and work on projects alongside the team.  This also grants them the opportunity and  accessibility to ask questions about starting a company and pitch their ideas. Additionally, LaManna and the Vydia team are working on launching BrandNewJ, a nonprofit member organization that is purely to bring together NJ Tech Companies to collaborate and elevate each other.

The Forty Under 40 awards program honors men and women under the age of 40 who have been making headlines in their field and who share a commitment to business growth, professional excellence and the community. NJBIZ and the program sponsors honored this year’s winners during an awards reception and ceremony on Monday, September 26, 2016 at The Palace at Somerset Park in Somerset, NJ. The honorees will also be highlighted in a special supplement to NJBIZ on October 3, 2016.
