While keeping a pulse on the needs of content creators worldwide, Team Vydia has a soft spot for supporting those in our community whenever we can. This month we have signed up to participate in a charitable 5k fun run in an effort to raise money for the thriving students at the local Eden Autism school. Autism is the fastest-growing developmental disorder, yet it is most underfunded. The good news is, Stacie Sherman, Co-chair of the Eden Autism 5k fundraiser reports that “we have a record number of team members and donations [for this year’s race].” Race day is October 15th so until it’s time to rally at the starting line, we are asking our extended Vydia family to help make a positive impact on the lives of the people in this community by donating to our Team Vydia page.
About Eden Autism:
Princeton’s Eden Autism organization started as a family-oriented school for children with Autism back in 1975, but now it has become a wide-reaching community of services available for individuals living with Autism. The school’s popularity has enrollment maxed out at 77 active students in an effort to make sure classrooms do not exceed a 2:1 student/teacher ratio. The teachers and administrative staff have selflessly committed themselves to fulfilling the needs of each individual student, at whatever capacity, in order to ensure success in the program. Eden’s highly impactful programs have been nationally recognized and their practices have been adopted by schools across the country. In addition to the Eden School, the organization also has Eden Adult Services available for those that have reached adulthood (over 21 years old) and are no longer eligible for the adolescent education program. This program offers employment training and placement as well as residential communities to empower individuals with Autism to live their life on their own terms.
How You Can Help:
Vydia’s Team goal is to raise $1,000 in support of the amazing services provided by Eden. We have currently raised over $500 and will continue the campaign until the event on October 15th. If you want to join the Vydia family in donating to help these special people in our community, please check out our team fundraising page. The donation process is fast, easy, and completely secure but most importantly you can be sure that it will benefit a great cause and change lives. Thank you!
