This Cookie Policy explains how Vydia, Inc. (hereinafter “Vydia”, “we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you interact with our websites located at www.vydia.com, mylabelhub.com/d2/sign_in, and any other websites, pages, features or content we own or operate (collectively, the “Site(s)”); as a subscriber to our service, you use our content management platform (the “Dashboard”); interact with other products or services that direct you to this Policy (collectively, the “Service(s)”).

Herein we explain what these technologies are and why we use them, and your rights to control our use of them.

In some cases, we may use cookies and similar technologies to collect personal information, or information that becomes personal information if we combine it with other information. In such cases the Vydia Privacy Policy will apply in addition to this Cookie Policy.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect, for example, changes to the cookies we use or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. If we do, last modified date above will be updated.  You should revisit this page if you wish to keep yourself informed.  If you have any questions about our use of cookies or other technologies, please email us at [email protected].

WHAT ARE COOKIES?

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device in order to remember information about you, such as your language preference. Those cookies are set by us and are called first-party cookies. We also use third-party cookies – which are cookies set by an organization other than Vydia – for our advertising and marketing efforts.

Cookies do not contain confidential information such as your home address, telephone number or credit card details. We do not exchange cookies with any third-party websites or external data suppliers. If you do choose to disable cookies, you may find that certain sections of our Services  do not work properly.

WHAT OTHER SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES DO WE USE?

Cookies are not the only way to recognize or track users of our Services. We may use other similar technologies from time to time, like web beacons (sometimes called “tracking pixels” or “clear gifs”) to track users of our Services. These are tiny graphics files that contain a unique identifier that enable us to recognize when someone has interacted with our Services, such as opening an e-mail that we have sent them. The use of web beacons (or similar technologies) allow us, for example, to monitor the traffic patterns of users within our Services, to deliver or communicate with cookies, to understand whether you have come to our Services from an online advertisement displayed on a third-party website, to improve our online services, and to measure the success of e-mail marketing campaigns. In many instances, these technologies are reliant on cookies to function properly, and so declining cookies will impair their functioning.

We and our service providers and third parties we collaborate with, including ad networks, may use cross-device/cross-context tracking. For example, you might use multiple browsers on a single device, or use various devices (such as desktops, smartphones, and tablets), which can result in your having multiple accounts or profiles across these various contexts and devices. Cross-device/cross-context technology may be used to connect these various accounts or profiles and the corresponding data from the different contexts and devices.

WHY DO WE USE COOKIES?

When you access our Services, we or companies we work with may place cookies on your computer or other device. These technologies help us better understand user behavior, and inform us about which parts of our websites people have visited.

We use first party and third-party cookies to recognize you as a Vydia customer, customize our content, and advertising, to measure promotional effectiveness, and to collect information about your computer or other access device to mitigate risk, help prevent fraud, and promote trust and safety.

We may place cookies from third-party service providers who may use information about your visits to other websites to target advertisements for products and services available from Vydia. We do not control the types of information collected and stored by these third-party cookies. You should check the third-party’s website for more information on how they use cookies.

The following are some examples of information that we collect and how we may use it:

We may collect and store details of how you use our Services. Except in limited instances to ensure quality of our services over the Internet, such information will not be associated with your IP address.

We may collect information such as your language, inferred zip code or area code, unique device identifier, referrer URL, location, and time zone so that we can better understand customer behavior and improve our services.

WHAT TYPES OF COOKIES DO WE USE?

We may use the following types of cookies on the Services:

Category Description
Strictly Necessary or Essential Cookies Essential cookies are also referred to as “strictly necessary” since without them we cannot provide the functionality required to use the Services. For example, essential Cookies may bolster security, or help with load balancing as users navigate through the Services.
Performance Performance/Analytics Cookies track information about visits to the Services so that we or our customers can make improvements and report on performance. These Cookies collect information about how visitors use the Services, which site or page the user came from, the number of each user’s visits and how long a user stays on the Services. We may also use Analytics Cookies to test new features to see how users react to them.
Functionality Cookies During users’ interaction with the Services, Functionality Cookies are used to remember information users have entered. They also store user preferences when personalizing the Services to optimize the use of the Services. These preferences are remembered through the use of the persistent Cookies, and the next time a user engages with the Services they will not have to set them again.
Browsing Activity Cookies These cookies enable the website to provide enhanced functionality and personalization. They may be set by us or by third party providers whose services we have added to our pages. If you do not allow these cookies, then some or all of these services may not function properly.
Social Media Cookies These cookies are set by a range of social media services that we have added to the site to enable you to share our content with your friends and networks. They are capable of tracking your browser across other sites and building up a profile of your interests. This may impact the content and messages you see on other websites you visit. If you do not allow these cookies, you may not be able to use or see these sharing tools.
Targeting Cookies We and third-party advertising partners may use cookies to collect data from visitors to our sites for analytics and targeted advertising purposes. These cookies may be used to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant ads on other sites. They are based on uniquely identifying your browser and internet device. If you do not allow these cookies, you will still continue to see generic advertising on our site and elsewhere online.

In Appendix A, you can view a chart with more information about the specific cookies on our Services.

Cookies Preference Manager

Browser controls.  You can set or amend your web browser controls to accept or refuse cookies. If you choose to reject cookies, you may still use our Services although your access to some functionality and areas may be restricted. If you want to learn the correct way to modify your browser settings, please use the “Help,” “Tools” or “Edit” menu in your browser or review the instructions provided by the following browsers:

If you block or delete technical and/or function cookies used by the Services, the Services may become impossible to browse, certain services or functions may become unavailable or other malfunctions may occur. In this case, you may have to modify or manually enter some information or preferences every time you visit the Services.

Opting-out of Third Party Analytics.  We may use third-party service providers to monitor and analyze the use of our online, web-based, and mobile-based Services, such as Google Analytics and Fullstory. Google Analytics is an analytics service offered by Google LLC (“Google”) that tracks and reports website traffic. For more information on the privacy practices of Google, please visit the Google Privacy & Terms web page: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en. To opt out of Google Analytics or to prevent your data from being collected and used by Google Analytics, please visit: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. You can opt-out of Fullstory’s automatic collection and retention of your data when you use the Services by visiting https://www.fullstory.com/optout/, however, if you get a new computer, install a new browser, erase or otherwise alter you browser’s cookie file (including upgrading certain browsers) you may need to follow the Fullstory opt-out process again to ensure your opt-out remains valid.

Disabling Most Interest Based Advertising.  Many advertising companies that collect information for interest-based advertising are members of the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) or the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI), both of which maintain websites where people can opt out of interest-based advertising from their members. To opt out of website interest-based advertising provided by each organization’s respective participating companies, visit the DAA’s opt-out portal available at http://optout.aboutads.info/, or visit the NAI’s opt-out portal available at http://optout.networkadvertising.org/?c=1. Residents of the European Union may opt-out of online behavioral advertising served by the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance’s participating member organizations by visiting https://www.youronlinechoices.eu/.

Mobile App Advertising.  When you use our mobile application, we or our Third Party Marketing Partners may use one or more of several different identifiers for your mobile device, including Apple Identifier For Advertising (IDFA) or Android Advertising ID (AAID), to target and deliver ads to you in our app or other apps. This means that your device identifier may be accessed by third-party ad networks and used to (a) help manage the number and types of ads you see; (b) track the source of installs related to ads seen in other apps; and (c) identify your interests and behavior and target advertising to you based on those interests and behavior.

Apple requires app developers to ask for permission before they can track your activity across apps or websites they do not own in order to target advertising to you, measure your actions due to advertising, or to share your information with data brokers.  If you previously gave our mobile app permission to track, you can tell our app to stop tracking your activity. On iOS or IPadOS, go to Settings, tap on our app, then tap to turn off Allow Tracking.  You can also reset your IDFA from your mobile device’s settings page, which will prevent continued use of existing behavioral data tied to your previous IDFA.

If you have an Android device, and are running Android 12 or above, you can delete your AAID permanently by opening Settings, navigating to Privacy > Ads, tapping “Delete advertising ID,” then tapping it again on the next page to confirm. This will prevent any app on your phone from accessing it in the future. Please note that if you do so, you will still see advertisements, but they will not be tailored to your inferred interests.

You may also access industry-provided opt-out tools, although they are not tailored to our mobile applications.  For instance, to opt-out of data collection by the Digital Advertising Alliance’s participating member companies for interest-based advertising across mobile applications, download the DAA’s App Choices mobile application opt-out offering at https://youradchoices.com/appchoices.
