There is a new, infectiously catchy dance tune that is taking the internet, the radio and MTV Jams by storm. It’s ‘Cha Cha’ by D.R.A.M (Does Real A** Music) and if you haven’t heard it by now, there is a good chance you will hear it on the radio or see it on TV real soon. The video game inspired music video is one of Vydia’s latest acceptance to MTV Jams. However, the singer has a major superstar to thank for bringing the song to light.
‘Cha Cha’ was released back in March, on #1EpicEp, but it wasn’t until May when the one and only Beyonce posted a video to Instagram with her dancing to the tune and caption reading “This song makes me happy!” Needless to say, D.R.A.M was happiest. That post alone had the song ‘Cha Cha’ blow up. He got the biggest co-sign ever from Queen Bey too. D.R.A.M can also add Rick Rubin and Chance the Rapper to the list of stars who praise the video.
And now making news today with another Instagram post of a photo of Queen Bey and D.R.A.M in the studio getting the opportunity of a lifetime. Hopefully there will be D.R.A.M. and Beyonce duos in the near future. There is no doubt his career is only going up from here and we can’t wait to see what is in store.
D.R.A.M’s team brought ‘Cha Cha’ to Vydia for video distribution and has since been picked up at MTV Jams currently in heavy rotation. Many have said that it’s the song of the summer.
