Just as Vydia is committed to empowering our creators, we also stand behind the JAR of Hope Foundation’s mission to find a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). DMD is a terminal genetic disease that currently affects over 300,000 young boys worldwide, with 1 in every 3,500 boys are diagnosed on an annual basis. This Sunday, the Vydia Team will be participating in a charitable Stadium Run in an effort to raise money for the dedicated efforts of the JAR of Hope Foundation. With the race just a few days away, we are asking our extended Vydia family to join us and not only extend the lives of these young boys but also bring an end to DMD forever.

About JAR of Hope

Built on a promise Jim Raffone made to his 7-year-old son, Jamesy, in 2013 the JAR of Hope Foundation has been at the forefront of raising awareness and fighting to bring an end to Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). The disease itself is caused by a rare mutation dystrophin gene that results in severe muscle degeneration. This terminal, muscle wasting disease does not have a cure or a stabilizing drug. For the past 5 years, Raffone and the JAR of Hope Foundation have been working relentlessly to spark the conversation about DMD and make it a household name. Through a variety of awareness and funding campaigns, the JAR of Hope Foundation is setting out to raise the money needed to fund pioneering therapies that will help slow down this disease, if not find a cure. JAR of Hope Foundation will not stop until they find a cure, and neither will we.

How You Can Get Involved

Vydia’s Team goal is to raise $3,000 in support of the mission and research of the JAR of Hope Foundation. The funded research is aimed to change the trajectory of the disease, enabling boys like Jamesy to walk longer, breathe better and live more fulfilling lives. If you want to join the Vydia family in donating to help this life-changing cause, please check out our team fundraising page. The donation process is fast, easy, and completely secure but most importantly you can be sure that it will benefit a great cause and change lives. Thank you!
